DJ Vlaming, RS

President
DJ graduated from California State University, Northridge with a business degree in 1996 and started working at Association Reserves shortly thereafter. He has been responsible for the growing Arizona client base since 1997. He has completed thousands of Reserve Studies for properties ranging from simple developments with minimal assets to complex international resorts. For his expertise, he earned the Community Association Institute’s (CAI) Reserve Specialist (RS) designation and has the distinction of being RS #61. DJ and his family relocated to the Phoenix area in 2003 to establish the Arizona regional office. From this office, he is able to serve Arizona and New Mexico clients full-time, including large master planned communities in the Phoenix, Tucson and Albuquerque metropolitan areas. DJ has expanded his reach into Mexico, and he has prepared Reserve Studies for timeshare resorts and communities in Rocky Point, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta. DJ is an active member of CAI and the Arizona Association of Community Managers (AACM). He has also been an instructor on the subject of Reserves for training courses offered by both of these organizations.

Will Shafer, RS

Senior Project Manager

Will Shafer, R.S. joined Association Reserves in 2007. He graduated from Arizona State

University with a degree in Business Administration. He has a strong background in customer service and problem solving. Will has prepared numerous Reserve Studies for a wide range of properties from simple single family home developments to complex international resorts and retirement communities. His experience includes working with properties throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico. Will earned Community Association Institute’s (CAI) “Reserve Specialist” designation in 2009. He instructs training courses on Reserve budgets for community managers and board members.

Zack Armijo, RS

Project Manager

Zack Armijo joined Association Reserves in 2018 after graduating from Arizona State University with a BSE in Engineering Management. From his studies in engineering, he has developed a passion for utilizing critical thinking skills to solve complex problems, as well as detailed, calculated planning to mitigate future risks. Zack is dedicated to producing high quality products that assist in projecting the Association Reserves clients toward success. With considerable experience in customer service, he is customer-centric and enjoys providing friendly, uncomplicated service.

Julie Campbell

Client Relations Manager

Julie Campbell earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development & Family Studies from Oregon State University in June of 2016. She has nearly 15 years experience in administrative services and project controls. Julie has been with Association Reserves since mid-2019 supporting Client Relations.

Nick Vocke

Project Manager

Nick Vocke joined Association Reserves in 2021. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Applied Mathematics. From his studies in mathematics and a background in the financial services industry, he has developed the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, digestible manner. By focusing on the specific needs of each Association Reserves client, Nick produces high-quality products with outstanding customer service.

Michael Vlaming

Project Manager

Michael Vlaming joined Association Reserves in 2023. He earned a degree in Psychological Sciences with a minor in Japanese from Northern Arizona University. Prior to joining our firm, Michael worked in enrollment services for a prominent university. Through this experience, he employed critical thinking skills to solve complex problems to assist clients with attaining their goals. With extensive experience in customer service, he is customer-centric and enjoys providing friendly and quality service. Michael is working toward earning the Reserve Specialist credential through CAI, and primarily services clients throughout Arizona.
