Derek Eckert, RS, PRA
Derek joined Association Reserves in 2004 with a degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge. During his tenure with our firm, Derek has traveled extensively to serve residential, resort, and business clients throughout the United States. For his expertise, Derek earned the Community Association Institute’s (CAI) Reserve Specialist (RS) designation and has the distinction of being RS #114. Derek is also a certified Professional Reserve Analyst (PRA). In 2007, Derek took on full responsibility for overseeing our San Francisco regional office, which has quickly expanded to meet the needs of all Bay Area clients. A combination of physical, financial, and staffing expertise has honed Derek’s ability to work with teams of decision-makers, within budget limitations, to accomplish significant repair & replacement projects. Derek enjoys traveling, each off-season he picks and travels to a new remote destination.
Client Relations Manager
Lorena joined the San Francisco team in 2017, but she is no stranger to Reserve Studies. She worked at our corporate office in Los Angeles for 7 years before transitioning into Community Association Management. Her prior work experience in Property Management further developed her customer service skill set and is essential in developing strategic recommendations while keeping the clients’ needs a number one priority. Lorena is able to assist current and prospective clients in making well-informed decisions. She serves as the initial contact for our office and focuses on creating ongoing relationships with our clientele to ensure a successful experience throughout the Reserve Study/Capital Planning process. Lorena married her high school sweetheart, Ivan, and spends her free time traveling the world with him.
Ryan Bell, RS
Senior Project Manager
Ryan joined the Association Reserves, San Francisco team in March of 2014. Ryan has earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance at San Jose State University. His prior work experience in business ownership, management, and client relations allows him to work efficiently and effectively while providing outstanding customer service. Since joining the ARSF team, Ryan has earned a CAI Reserve Specialist credential and has the distinction of being RS #348. Besides spending his free time relaxing by a lake, Ryan enjoys taking on challenging activities and playing competitive sports.
Jonathan is a graduate of The University of California Santa Cruz where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management Economics. Jonathan has prior work experience in customer service, construction, and home mortgages. This has allowed him to acquire the skills he needs to meet a high level of client satisfaction. When he’s not spending time with his friends, Jonathan likes to play golf, tennis and spends as much time as he can outdoors.
Carlos graduated with an Economics degree from De La Salle University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. He has work experience in banking, accounting, data diagnostics, financial analytics and project management. His academic involvement, together with employment experience, has allowed him to gain skills needed to proficiently complete Reserve Studies and support any client requirements. During his free time, Carlos enjoys watching NBA, collecting action figures and traveling.
Zak’s background includes experience in campaign fieldwork, advocacy around housing and homeless policy and having held several civic posts. His expertise gained from analyzing public and nonprofit budgets has allowed him to develop a strong insight into the needs of nonprofit communities. It also has allowed him to provide specialized services to a broader range of clients. In his free time, Zak enjoys going to concerts and volunteering his time with his favorite community-based organizations.
Maggie joined the Association Reserves team in 2010 with a Business-Accounting degree from California State University, Long Beach. Maggie comes from a background of auditing, banking, and customer service. When not at work, Maggie enjoys traveling as much as possible and taking pleasure in the little things life has to offer.
